What is an SRT file?

An SRT file is a plain text file that stores subtitles with timing. Each entry has a number, a start and end time, and the text to display. Most video players, editors and platforms accept it.

Steps

  1. Open TranscribeAI and paste a public video link, or upload your video file.
  2. Choose the spoken language, or use automatic detection.
  3. Press Transcribe.
  4. When the transcript appears, choose SRT in the export buttons (available on the Unlimited plan).
  5. Upload the SRT file to your video platform or editor.

SRT or VTT?

SRT works almost everywhere. VTT is the format used by many web players. TranscribeAI exports both on the Unlimited plan.
